Dogs for Rehoming

Breed: Siberian Husky/American Bulldog

Sex: Female

Age: 1 Year 6 Months Approx

Cali is a young Husky x American Bulldog who came to us through no fault of her own… she came to us with her Sister, Willow. Sadly their owner realised that they had bitten off more than they could chew by taking on the Sisters as puppies, as well as already having 2 existing dogs and 3 cats in the home. Sadly Cali wasn’t receiving the time and attention that she needed and was spending a lot of the time in the kitchen – now that Cali had matured, she had taken a bit of a dislike to one of the smaller dogs, and the cats found her a bit too full on!

Cali is a friendly, sociable girl who seems to love everybody… she’s slightly bigger than her sister, and was the more dominant of the 2… Willow appeared to be getting a little bullied, so we made the decision to separate them, and its made them both a lot happier – they’re now getting the one on one attention they deserve.

Whilst Cali has had some basic training (Sit etc), her lack of exercise shows – she’s very pully to walk on the lead, and needs further training. She does seem quite clever, and keen to please…so training should be straight forward. She will need somebody with a lot of time to dedicate to her. Her time alone will need to be built up, as she’s always had company. She’s affectionate, and ‘smiles’ at people to say hello!

We feel that Cali would need a home without cats, and no small dogs. She may be able to share her home with a medium-large breed neutered male (depending on a dog meeting).
