Dogs for Rehoming

Stella

Breed: American Bulldog/Whippet

Sex: Female

Age: 3 Years Approx

Stella is a nice American Bulldog cross (apparently Whippet) who came to us for rehoming due to a change in her previous owners circumstances, meaning that they were unable to care for Stella any longer.

She’s a lovely girl – very friendly and sociable with people, she happy to meet strangers and seems to really enjoy having a fuss! She can be strong on the lead, and any potential adopters will need to bear this in mind before enquiring. She’s a young dog with lots of energy! She’s lived with children, and could live in a home with children over 5yrs again.

Stella seems to get along well with other dogs, and has been used to other dogs in the previous home. She may be able to share her home with another dog (pref male) but this would depend on a dog meeting. Stella is not cat friendly, she’s got a very high prey drive. She is unsuitable to live with cats or other small pets/birds. Care should be taken too with neighbouring cats, who may visit the garden.

She’s an active girl, who loves to get out for her walks! She really enjoys her time off lead in our exercise compounds playing ball, so a secure garden for her to play in would be ideal. She is a bigger girl (30kg) and can be strong to walk.

Stella is okay travelling, but sadly she does have separation anxiety… which we have found out after she was briefly rehomed, but returned. Stella will need a home where she’s not going to be left for long periods, and time along would need to be built up over time. During the time she was rehomed, Stella proved to be great with the children and really good in the home.
